Title:  Foamer squared...
Description:  Is what one W&I crew member called me! I couldnt possibility know why... All joaking aside though, one of the main reasons I collect horns is to preserve a piece of railroad history that is fast disappearing. Once a very common horn on this line, the Leslie S3K was once the standard horn of the Burlington Northern, but in this day and age of FRA horn regulations has been relegated to only being heard on the vehicle of one collector. At least the WIR #20 has a decent sounding Nathan P5, instead of the all too common Nathan K series horns now heard everywhere on UP and BNSF.

Description:  This unassuming piece of track used to be the Hinkle OR Spokane WA UP mainline. That was before Joso bridge was built. After Joso, this line became a branchline, eventually being torn out in hte late 80s, with segments in towns (such as this piece here) renaming as industrial spurs.

Description:  Washington and Idaho Railway #20 crosses the Palouse River, just north of the town of Palouse, in a region called the Palouse. This particular unit was formerly owned by the Palouse River and Coulee City RR, which used to be the Palouse River Railroad.
